Micron Press is a "book shepherd" based in the Boston area. Today's bookselling environment has ended the practices of large publishers providing editors to assist and "shepherd" a writer into publication. Industry consolidation has cleared the field for a new generation of publishing.

The idea for Micron Press emerged from a recent Harvard study (Casy 2003) to determine the qualitative results of print-on-demand and online bookselling on the traditional publication model. A new environment has grown to provide services to authors in a way traditional publishing no longer does.

Micron Press assists our authors in making customized plans for their books, locating suitable qualified resources and making informed choices in publication. To help publish good books is our mission.

We invite writers who are willing to explore the new world of publishing to contact us. Micron Press is not a publishing middleman, but a guide through the brave new world of publishing.
